about
Ceramica Peri is a small-batch pottery brand founded in 2021 by Chicago-based artist and maker, Peri Levin. Working out of a shared studio firing to cone 10, Ceramica Peri features wheel-thrown and hand-built works.
Peri Levin
Learned to love and practice pottery as a student of Lisa Dolliver (Earth Changes Pottery) in the Boston area.
At 17 years old, she created her first formal ceramic collection of seven vessels, each inspired by, and made in the practice of a specific Ceramic movement spanning 5 continents and 8 centuries.
As an undergraduate student of history and art history at Oberlin College, she continued refining her wheelthrowing skills and developing her voice in clay.
In Chicago, Peri prioritizes handbuilding in addition to working on the wheel. Her voice and perspective as a ceramicist and craftsperson continue to develop.
She completed a teaching assistant program at Penguinfoot Pottery and is currently running Ceramica Peri out of another community studio.
